Privacy Policy

Reid Hill operates Rift Ready from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and is responsible for privacy inquiries. Contact reid.hill@outlook.com. This policy describes the current desktop app and download website.

Local League information

The app reads your local League client to identify your account, display champion selections, rank and recent matches, provide live references and optional overlays, and show final results. Data can include Riot identifiers, champions, items, rank and LP, scores, events and match identifiers. Local client credentials authenticate requests on your PC; they are not sent to our website.

The home screen reads up to 20 recent all-queue matches and displays the latest ten. Its 60-second cache stays in memory and is cleared on account change or disconnection. This feature does not save raw match history to disk or share it with the phone display.

Local storage and removal

Preferences, review notes, overlay settings and saved plans stay on your computer. Rank history stores timestamps, tier, division, LP and tracking windows under a hashed account identifier. Hashing is pseudonymization, not guaranteed anonymity.

Rank history retains up to 500 changed observations for each of ten accounts, with a recovery copy and no fixed age-based expiry. Updates preserve these files. Plans may be saved in locations you choose. Uninstalling should not be assumed to erase saved data.

To remove local data, close Rift Ready and remove the relevant saved files and their recovery copies from the installation/data folder, including copies you created elsewhere. Rank history uses rank-history.json and rank-history.json.bak; reviews use reviews.json and reviews.json.bak. Removing files loses their contents unless you have a backup. Future use can create new observations. There is no dedicated delete-history control or remote access to these local files.

Optional phone/tablet sharing

Sharing starts only when enabled, uses a fresh session secret and stops through Stop sharing or app shutdown. It is off on every launch. Paired devices receive sanitized champion, reference, coaching and postgame information, excluding account names, credentials, review notes, raw client responses and client write controls.

This is unencrypted HTTP on your selected private network address. Use a trusted LAN and keep the pairing link private. Stop sharing to revoke the session.

Website, downloads and contact

The website uses OpenAI Sites hosting on Cloudflare infrastructure. GitHub hosts downloads, updates and public issue reports. Requests to these services disclose connection information such as IP address, request time and browser/client details. Their infrastructure may process information outside Canada and maintain operational or security records under their own policies. We do not set their independent retention periods.

The website code adds no analytics scripts, advertising trackers, sign-in or submission forms. Infrastructure providers may still use technical cookies and logs. See OpenAI’s privacy policy, Cloudflare’s privacy policy and GitHub’s privacy statement.

If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to provide. Outlook/Microsoft processes that correspondence; see Microsoft’s privacy statement. We use correspondence to answer requests, provide support and resolve issues, and retain it only as needed for those purposes and applicable legal obligations. Do not send passwords or API keys. GitHub issues are public; use email for personal privacy matters.

Audience and younger players

The initial intended audience is Canadian players at least 18 and at least their local age of majority, with no upper age limit. The public download has no age/residency gate, so this audience statement does not prove minors never use it. Contact us if you believe a minor’s information has reached us so we can assess it and take appropriate steps. Information stored only on a player’s PC is not accessible to us remotely.

Planned online features

Riot API profiles, Riot Sign On and a live public Diamond+ feed are not currently connected. The planned profile would cover the player’s own linked account and ranked matches, with LP history remaining local initially. A separate private collector prototype processes completed matches into aggregate build alternatives; it stores pseudonymous sample records, not anonymous player records. Exported aggregates exclude player and match identifiers. Raw API responses are not persisted by the collector.

The collector’s sample window is seven days, with expiry currently performed at collection completion; failed runs can retain older records until a later successful run. Before hosted services launch, we will publish their providers, access controls, retention and deletion practices and obtain any required consent. Account unlinking and hosted deletion controls are not available today. Sampled players’ ages cannot be inferred from their rank.

Access, correction and concerns

Email Reid Hill to request access to information held about you, correction of inaccuracies, withdrawal of consent where applicable, or to raise a concern. We will handle requests under applicable law, with proportionate identity verification and permitted exceptions, and explain any limits or effects on services. We cannot remotely erase data stored only on your PC.

For unresolved concerns about processing governed by BC’s Personal Information Protection Act, consult the BC privacy commissioner’s complaint process. Other mandatory rights remain available where applicable.

Security and updates

Local credentials stay on your PC, mobile sharing has a revocable secret, and public website connections use HTTPS. These safeguards do not encrypt the LAN display or guarantee absolute security. We will publish material policy changes with an updated date and provide appropriate notice before new processing begins.
